The University of St. Thomas' campus recycling web page features the quoted wisdom of environmental thinkers and spiritual leaders like Jesus, Wendell Berry, Martin Luther King, the Dalai Lama, Senegalese ecologist Baba Dioum and Aldo Leopold. A curious inclusion:

"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'"
